Connectors and Cables for Challenging Environments

Wet mateable connectors (except MKS-300)
316 stainless steel bodies with metal keys for positive alignment.
Naval bronze engaging nuts have Acme threads for rugged applications and quick connection.

Bulkhead connectors available as a threaded or flanged version with 48" of #18 AWG type E Teflon inboard leads (MKS-300 / MKS(W)-300/MKS(W)-3L00 have 6" of #24 AWG inboard leads)
Cable connector plugs and receptacles are overmolded using polyurethane (MKS-300 / MKS(W)-300 also available with a neoprene overmold). Straight or right angled overmolds are available for cable connector plugs.
Cable connector plugs and receptacles are supplied unterminated unless cable termination is specified at time of order.
Up to 10,000 PSI pressure rating in mated condition.
Bulkhead connectors open face pressure rated to 5,000 PSI.
Contacts gold plated per MIL-G-45204

Close Guidelines

All mounting surfaces require a 32 finish
Do not over tighten bulkhead connectors when mounting.
Lubricate mating surfaces with 3M Silicone Spray or equivalent. DO NOT GREASE. Connectors must be lubricated on a regular basis.
For MKS-310, contact surfaces must be dry prior to mating.
Lubricate O-rings with Dow Corning #111 Valve Lubricant or equivalent.
Keep O-ring grooves clean and avoid cuts and nicks in the O-ring. Replace O-rings when re-mounting connectors.
Avoid contact with solvents.
Avoid sharp bends at cable entry to connector.
Elastomers can be seriously degraded if exposed to direct sunlight or high ozone levels for extended periods of time.
