Connectors and Cables for Challenging Environments
Glass Reinforced Epoxy
  • Glass reinforced epoxy bulkhead connectors with solder pots. Potted pigtails available on request.
  • Cable connector plugs and receptacles can be overmolded using neoprene or polyurethane. The conductor insulation and jacket material of specified cable determines overmold material.
  • Cable connector plugs and receptacles are supplied unterminated unless cable termination is specified at time of order.
  • Special cable connector plugs available for use with oil filled tubes. (XSJ and XSL)
  • Up to 20,000 PSI pressure rating in mated condition. See specs for individual connector ratings.
  • Bulkhead connectors open face pressure rated to 5,000 PSI.
  • Contacts gold plated per MIL-G-45204
Usage
Specs



  • All mounting surfaces require a 32 finish
  • Do not over tighten bulkhead connectors when mounting.
  • These connectors should not be used in high impact areas, as chipping or cracking could occur.
  • Care must be taken not to damage contacts in unmated connectors
  • Contact surfaces must be dry prior to mating.
  • Lubricate O-rings with Dow Corning #111 Valve Lubricant or equivalent.
  • Keep O-ring grooves clean and avoid cuts and nicks in the O-ring. Replace O-rings when re-mounting connectors.
  • Avoid contact with solvents.
  • Avoid sharp bends at cable entry to connector.
  • Elastomers can be seriously degraded if exposed to direct sunlight or high ozone levels for extended periods of time.
